Feel like helping us out? Frontier Backpacking is a Not-For-Profit Corporation so donations are not only always welcome, but are required to get youth into the great outdoors.
Gear donations are also more than welcome. We recycle backpacks and worn clothing by fixing them up and donating them to youth or other groups in need. You can also check out our list (bottom of the page) to see what is needed, and contact us to set up a delivery or pickup.
Primarily, all donations are used to get us outside. They supplement the costs to each participant so that their cost is (preferentially) zero. We split the cost of each trip between the sending church (if applicable) and Frontier’s holdings. This helps alleviate the burden from an individual organization and spreads it across many shoulders.
Your donations are also spent in the following ways:
- New gear and gear repair/upkeep
- Travel and food for trips
- Guide/Employee fees and wages

We are currently in need of:
- Sleeping Mats (either open or closed cell)
- 2P tents
- 30-40L Backpacks
- Backcountry Consumables such as: Fuel, Food, or other gnarly stuff
